Our refund policy is crafted to be fair, transparent, and focused on the well-being of our puppies and your satisfaction as a new pet parent.

Every Dachshund puppy from Lulu Dachshund Puppies receives the highest level of care before joining your family, including:

  • A comprehensive veterinary health check prior to adoption
  • Up-to-date vaccinations and deworming treatments
  • Lifetime breeder support for any questions or concerns

We carefully evaluate all prospective homes to ensure our puppies thrive in their forever families. However, if unforeseen challenges arise, we offer the following options to assist you:


Refund & Return Guidelines

1. 48-Hour Adjustment Period

If, within 48 hours of bringing your puppy home, you feel they are not the right fit for your household, you may:

  • Exchange them for another available puppy (of equal or lesser value)
  • Receive a partial refund (minus a $250 rehoming fee to cover administrative costs)

Important Notes:

  • The puppy must be returned in the same healthy condition as when they were adopted.
  • All provided documents, including health records, must accompany the return.

2. After 48 Hours

Once the initial adjustment period has passed, refunds are no longer available. However, we remain committed to supporting you and your puppy by:

  • Offering training and behavioral guidance to address challenges
  • Assisting with rehoming efforts by helping you find a suitable new family (at no additional cost)

3. Health-Related Returns

If your puppy develops a covered hereditary condition within the 1-year health guarantee period, please refer to our Health Guarantee Policy for details on replacement options or other resolutions.


Non-Refundable Situations

To safeguard the welfare of our puppies, refunds cannot be issued for the following reasons:

  • Change of heart after the 48-hour adjustment period
  • Allergies or housing restrictions discovered after adoption
  • Injury or illness caused by owner negligence or improper care
  • Routine care expenses (e.g., vaccines, grooming, flea/tick prevention)

How to Request a Refund or Exchange

If you need to initiate a refund or exchange, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us Immediately – Reach out via email or phone within 48 hours of adoption to discuss your situation.
  2. Return Puppy Safely – We’ll arrange a stress-free return process for your puppy (transport costs may apply depending on the circumstances).
  3. Complete Documentation – Provide all relevant veterinary records if health concerns are involved.

We reserve the right to deny refunds if we suspect neglect, unethical intentions, or actions that compromise the well-being of the puppy. Our ultimate goal is to ensure every Dachshund finds a loving, permanent home. If you’re facing challenges, we’d much rather help you succeed than process a return.
